Bidding Policy

At Wotlog, we are committed to providing a fair, transparent, and safe bidding environment for all users. To ensure that everyone can participate respectfully and organized, we have established a detailed bidding policy that all users must follow when engaging in auctions on the platform. By adhering to this policy, we ensure an equitable marketplace that promotes trust, fairness, and integrity. Below are the key guidelines that all users must follow when participating in the Wotlog bidding feature.

  • Registered Account: To participate in bidding, users must have a verified Wotlog account. This ensures accountability and provides a secure experience for all users
  • Age Requirement: Users must be at least 18 years old to participate in bidding activities on Wotlog.
  • Payment Method Verification: Before placing a bid, users must have a valid and verified payment method linked to their account. This could be a credit card, bank account, or another approved payment service.

  • Real-Time Bidding: All auctions on Wotlog operate in real-time, meaning bids are updated live as they are placed. Users can see the current highest bid and are able to place new bids accordingly.
  • Minimum Bid Increments: Each auction will have a predefined minimum bid increment, which indicates the lowest possible amount by which a bid can be raised. Bids that do not meet this increment will not be accepted.
  • Automatic Bidding: Wotlog offers an automatic bidding feature where users can set a maximum bid. The system will automatically bid on the user’s behalf in set increments until the maximum bid is reached.
  • Bid Confirmation: Once a bid is placed, users will receive an instant notification confirming their bid. All bids are final once confirmed.
  • Binding Agreement: By placing a bid, the user is entering into a legally binding agreement to purchase the item if their bid is the highest at the end of the auction. Backing out of a winning bid is prohibited and may result in penalties.
  • No Bid Retractions: Once a bid is placed, it cannot be retracted. Users are expected to bid responsibly and should carefully review all auction details before placing a bid
  • No Bid Retractions: Once a bid is placed, it cannot be retracted. Users are expected to bid responsibly and should carefully review all auction details before placing a bid
  • Bidder’s Responsibility: It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure that their bid reflects their true intention. Misplaced decimal points, incorrect entries, or bidding without full consideration of the terms are not valid grounds for bid withdrawal.

Winning Notification: At the close of an auction, the highest bidder will be notified immediately and prompted to complete the payment. The winning user will receive an email and an in-app notification outlining the next steps.

Payment Deadline: The winning bidder must complete the transaction within 48 hours of the auction’s close. Failure to do so may result in account suspension and the item being offered to the next highest bidder or relisted.

Non-Payment Consequences: Failure to pay for an item after winning may result in penalties, including but not limited to suspension of bidding privileges, account termination, and legal action if necessary

  • Fair Bidding: All users are expected to participate in fair and ethical bidding practices. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
  • Shill Bidding: Placing bids with the intent to artificially inflate the price of an item, either by the seller or others colluding with the seller, is forbidden and will result in severe penalties.
  • Bid Manipulation: Attempting to manipulate the auction process in any form, such as making bids with no intention of completing the transaction or falsely inflating bids, will lead to account suspension or termination.
  • Harassment or Interference: Users are prohibited from contacting other bidders to influence, disrupt, or interfere with their bidding.

Data Protection: Wotlog is committed to protecting the personal and financial data of all users. All transactions are encrypted and processed securely through trusted payment gateways.

Anonymity: To promote privacy and fairness, user identities are not revealed during bidding. Only after the auction ends will the buyer’s information be shared with the seller, and only for the purpose of completing the transaction.

Warnings and Suspensions: Violations of this policy may result in a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of the user’s account, depending on the severity of the infraction.

Permanent Bans: Repeat offenders or those involved in fraudulent activities (e.g., shill bidding, bid manipulation) will face permanent bans from the platform.

Legal Action: In severe cases, including fraudulent behavior or non-payment after winning a bid, Wotlog reserves the right to pursue legal action against the offending party.

Wotlog aims to create a trustworthy, exciting, and fair bidding experience for all users. By following this policy, you help maintain the integrity of our platform. If you have any questions or need assistance, our customer support team is always ready to help. Happy bidding!
